Aroview: The franchise rolls on in this third installment of the animated comedy when the big green ogre’s new father-in-law falls ill.
Shrek is seen as the possible heir and must rely on the wayward help from his friends Puss in Boots and Donkey to install the rebellious Artie. With pop-culture references fired left right and centre (and left-of-centre) this follows the first two films in transcending the very notion of being “just” a film for the kids.
Average rating (Good Try). Showing 1-3 of 3 member reviews.
2 stars (Good Try) The third big-screen Shrek in 6 years, and the series is showing some serious strain (as seen by critic's reviews, even if box office sales are still high). ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) The third installment is a flop compared to the previous two. Shrek becomes successor to the throne, but decides to find the legitimate heir Artie. Sadly a big let-down from the writers who failed with this one. ~GenXGirl
3 stars (Good Enough) Not as strong as its predecessors but the characters are still good entertainment. ~Tubbs
