Danger Diabolik
Aroview: Cat-burgling cool from the pop-art 1960's, outfitted in futuristic chic and the effortless glamour of John Phillip Law and blonde bombshell Marisa Mell.
Based on Europe's popular Diabolik comics, this mixes James Bond style, Barbarella fetishism, and the cartoonish fun of TV's Batman, as super-criminals Diabolik and Eva Kant thwart both goverment officials and the idle rich to live the lifesyle to which they are accustomed. A rare non-horror assigment from Italian horror supremo, Mario Bava, and featuring a psychedelic score by Ennio Morricone.

4 stars (Very Good) Stylish, exaggerated, with a wonderful score and some great matte-painting and back-projection. Very flat and uninvolving in places, but overall it's great fun and Diabolik & Eva's 'contra mundum' romance is pretty endearing. ~HiFi
4 stars (Very Good) Fabulous score, great female lead, incredible visuals, so much better than its sister movie Barbarella because this one was made by an actual director instead of a vapid himbo. ~Pearce
