Hate Crime

Aroview: Gay revenge melodrama takes a hard line against the religious right, telling the story of a gay accountant who suspects his Christian fundamentalist neighbour is behind a brutal homophobic attack on his partner.

Complex moral issues are raised throughout, and though at times the action is a little overwrought, it’s certainly not lacking in its convictions. This suspenseful vigilante pot-boiler does ultimately plead however, for tolerance and understanding.
