Allie Eagle and Me
Aroview: A portrait of an artist, dir. Briar March's highly personalised dedication to Allie Eagle confronts the painter's staunch feminist and lesbian conviction in the 70s, conversion to Christianity in the 80s, and subsequent U-turn on the abortion issue.
Nicely balanced between appreciation and interrogation, March’s relationship with Eagle provides added layers in this investigation into a contradictory past.
