Civilization of Maxwell Bright, The

Aroview: Redemptive LA story of one angry, bigoted dude whose life is transformed by his relationship with his subservient, Asian mail-order bride (and his own mortality).

Rooted in the real-life experience of the director's neighbour, the film is less notable for its naturalism than the wild character extremes of Warburton's full-volume misogyny and the 180-degree turnaround the plot requires of him.
