Feat. Shirley Maclaine, Rossano Brazzi, Vittorio Gassman, Lex Barker, Elsa Martinelli, Robert Morley, Patrick Wymark, Adrienne Corri, Alan Arkin, Michael Caine, Anita Ekberg, Philippe Noiret, Peter Sellers
Aroview: Shirley MacLaine inhabits seven different women in seven fanciful, star-studded mini-stories of adultery for Italian dir. Vittorio De Sica.
In "Funeral Possession" she plays a wayward widow at her husband's funeral; in "Amateur Night", an angry wife who becomes a streetwalker out of revenge; in "Two Against One", a seemingly prudish girl turns out otherwise; in "Super Simone", a wife who vainly attempts to distract her writer husband; "At the Opera", is a battle over a supposedly exclusive dress; "Suicides", a death pact; and "Snow", a would-be suitor is actually a private detective hired by her jealous husband.

3 stars (Good Enough) As a showcase for Shirley Maclaine this is fantastic as she excels in a variety of wildly different roles. But like most portmanteau films it's uneven and you find yourself waiting for a segment to end in the hope that the next will be better. ~Pearce
