Awash with soapy stereotypes and pretensions to deeper meaning, this has the feel of an overearnest tele-movie, telegraphing plot manoeuvres and contriving scenarios with all the subtlety of a school play. Still, it has the distinction of being the first Malaysian film in our collection!
