4 stars (Very Good) The screenplay doesn't aim to establish heroes and it results in a believable well written historical drama. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Historically accurate & filmed in West Virginia near where the strike and shootings occurred in 1921. A heart-wrenching story conveyed by seriously good actors. Exploitation of non-violent protest by gangsters hired by the Stone Mtn Co. Needs subtitles. ~Anon
