Raggedy Man

Aroview: Texas-set drama led by Spacek (fresh from her Oscar winning performance in COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER) portraying a perturbed divorcee mother who must stand up against tittle-tattling townsfolk to defend her right to love and contentment once more.

Touching depiction by Spacek of a timorous woman hemmed-in by her house and the neighbourhood she lives in, and a strong chemistry with Eric Roberts (in the role of a passing sailor) helps this wartime drama along to its raggedy conclusion.
