Aroview: This Dr. Who spin-off series, set in present day Cardiff, focuses on 'The Captain' (a former travel companion of the Doctor), who travels through time to become part of an investigative extraterrestrial hit squad founded by the Queen herself.

A solid sci-fi series that holds its own with modern material and intelligent dialogue - just try not to compare it too closely to the Dr. Who legacy.
