Colour of Magic, The

Aroview: A live-action return to Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld,' where an unfortunate wizard, enthusiastic tourist and fierce wooden box with legs must fight to save the magical landscape from decimation.

Made for TV, the production values don’t quite do Pratchett’s rich imagination justice, however it’s tight budget gives the film a charming modesty, it’s rambling story seemingly held together with bits of tape (and magic dust of some description). The cast - including Sir David ‘Perfick’ Jason - bumble along pleasantly.
