Blast of Silence
Aroview: Grumpy, low-fi noir presides over the movements of a tetchy contract killer (dir. Baron) as he prepares to whack a two-bit mobster during Christmas in New York. Urged on by a brooding voiceover narration (in the second-person, no less), this diamond-in-the-rough belies its scruffy first impressions to both surprise and shock.

4 stars (Very Good) Shot in grey New York. Wonderful location shooting in Harlem etc. Lionel Stander contributes as a great narrator. Everything would suggest it should be depressing but it isn't. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Beautiful. Love it. Perhaps an anti xmas movie. NYC captured cold ~stve
