Quiet American, The

Aroview: This early screen adaptation of Graham Greene’s cautionary novel was the first major film to address to thorny issue of Vietnam, although loses points for softening the author’s anti-American blow. Still, war hero Audie Murphy and Michael Redgrave are engrossing as the story’s colliding, lovesick interests.
