Babysitters, The
Aroview: Inky black indie dramedy centred on an entrepreneurial teenage babysitter that starts up a call-girl service for married men after getting paid for 'extra servicing' of one of her customers.
Surprisingly explicit, this dances the fine line between an ironic answer to tweeny rom-com tosh and an unnervingly direct look at the sexualisation of teenagers. It certainly manages to bring something new to the fashionable theme of rot in the American suburbs, although it’s left to the discerning viewer to determine at what cost.
