4 stars (Very Good) A touching story of personal relationships and growth, this has Tom Cruise looking after his sweet but difficult older savant brother brilliantly played by Hoffman. Well worth watching for fans of films such as ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘I am Sam’. ~Tom H

2 stars (Good Try) Cruise is out of his depth - he's a star, not an actor. The screenplay is far too long - once it had made its point about Hoffman's character it didn't need to thrash it to death. ~Tubbs
