Hell Ride

Aroview: Grindhouse-inspired biker flick stars Bishop as the head of a biker gang on a mission to avenge a fallen comrade killed by a rival gang.

Loving homage aside, the hip soundtrack, gratuitous violence and saturation of 'ironic' sleaze can't sustain the weak plot and flimsy characterisation; perhaps with a little more fleshing out we'd find all the sex and gore funny as opposed to dull. Where the film works best is in its referential style, its dirt-caked, gritty cinematography perfectly reflecting the look of biker films from the 60s and 70s, which is really where this film belongs.
