Bride Wars

Aroview: Light comedy focused on two best friends (Hudson and Hathaway) who become rivals after scheduling their weddings on the same day.

Hudson and Hathaway both have considerable acting chops, but even these two can't elevate this paint-by-numbers vehicle into anything beyond simplistic fluff, its portrayal of women as shrieking, consumerist harpies best left in the pre-feminism era; regardless, there are a couple of well-handled sight-gags (mostly including the pair running around in wedding dresses) that may result in twitches at the side of the mouth.
