Mostly faithful to the book (and the 1978 film), this diverges into new territory in its latter episodes, introducing new characters and storylines. Featuring a well-known British voice cast (including token 'charming' Brits Stephen Fry and Dawn French), and an emphasis on adventure, this is a modern family series with an old fashioned sensibility.
