Aro Recommended Glass: A Portrait Of Philip In Twelve Parts

Aroview: Epic doco of seminal composer Glass covers his life, influences, and his working process.

Filmed over 3 continents in 18 months, this is hugely explorative of the artist, who ultimately proves to be a rather amiable, guarded subject and not at all the troubled genius that dir. Hicks (SHINE) possibly presumed him to be. Regardless, very few stones are left unturned when the director essentially becomes part of the family (at one point he gets up to make Glass a cup of tea) and the results are remarkably exhaustive, if not hugely dramatic.
