Aroview: Unique documentary that splices together archival footage and motion-capture animation to recreate the infamous trial of anti-war protestors at The Democratic National Convention in 1968.
This treads the line between a creative art venture and a truthful recount of history with great finesse, although falls down slightly in its blind hero worship of the protestors, ironically undermining dir. Morgan's suggestion of a 'cartoonish' trial. For the most part, however, this is a confident and stylish snapshot of American civil unrest.
