Race To Witch Mountain

Aroview: A flashy but bland reboot of the 1975 Disney film ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN that sees Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson play a cab driver who inadvertently gets entangled with two alien children pursued by a government agency.

Much of the original's charm is lost to the beefed up yet rather unspectacular visual effects, leaving two pleasantly unassuming performances from the two space-kids, and Johnson as an almost Travis Bickle-esque taxi driver, who manages to inject some quirkiness into the otherwise 100% pure Disney plot.
