Angels And Demons
Aroview: Sequel to blockbuster phenomenon THE DA VINCI CODE sees Tom Hanks reprise his role as Robert Langdon, on the hunt to uncover a terrorist plot against the Vatican.
Although not nearly as convoluted as the 2006 (highly profitable) blockbuster, this still has its fair share of lunacy, including the usual evil religious extremists and outrageous academic waffle. Regardless, there are nuggets of gold to be found in the rather plodding narrative, including Se7en-inspired gristly puzzles, beautiful locations and a couple of genuinely thrilling action sequences. A reliable thriller, if somewhat uninspired.
