Knowing

Aroview: Sci-fi thriller focused around a teacher (Cage) who opens up a time capsule from 50 years ago which unnervingly predicts accurate dates of past disasters and a future date for the end of the world.

Grandiose, convoluted and ultimately preposterous, this film has no brakes and consequently hits the mark as a fun, nutty piece of sci fi escapism, although begs to be taken seriously in the vein of anything from the narcissistic M.Night Shyamalan. A permanently wide-eyed Cage is at his most endearingly clumsy.
