Three Blind Mice

Aroview: Playful Australian drama focused around three young Navy officers who hit the town in Sydney for one last night before they're shipped off to fight in the Gulf.

Tackling heavy subject matter with a light touch, writer/director/star Matthew Newton and his cohorts keep us invested with a flurry of freewheeling dialogue as they find themselves in ridiculous, if unlikely, situations as the night progresses. Although the bulk of the film meanders with somewhat convinient narrative devices, the climax is remarkably truthful.
