Year One
Aroview: Jack Black and Michael Cera marginally miss the mark as a couple of cavemen who become unlikely participants in some of history's most pivotal moments, in this Harold Ramis-helmed biblical comedy.
Despite the likable cast (and likable director) the slapstick, lowbrow comedy in this is only mildly funny; for the most part it revels in it's own juvenile sense of humour too much to really notice the audience. It is sad, too, to see Jack Black and Michael Cera on cruise control, however there is the occasional - very occasional - moment of genuine chemistry to keep us amused enough until the end credits.
