Derek Jarman: Life as Art

Aroview: Maddeningly conventional portrait of the iconoclastic director is lacking Jarman's own formal audaciousness, and is too often a clunky mix of talking heads and twee inserts.

However it does serve as a useful primer to the director's oeuvre with many of Jarman's key collaborators interviewed. There is alsoa surfeit of clips from Jarmans work, including from two films not otherwise available: Last of England and The Angelic Conversation.
