Phantom Empire, The
Aroview: Oddball children's serial from the thirties has singing cowboy Autry discovering the last remaining inhabitants of the lost continent of Mu living underneath his ranch.
They happen to possess a large amount of radium and the greedy townsfolk want in on it so it's up to Autry to defend them and still maintain his radio show. An utterly bizarre amalgamation of genre, it's one part western, one part sci-fi, one part musical and completely impossible to take seriously. This is a genuine goof and holds up today largely as kitsch.
