Aroview: Doco legend Michael Moore comes full circle after detouring with US gun culture (BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE), foreign policy (FAHRENHEIT 9/11), and health care (SICKO), returning to the agenda of his landmark debut, ROGER AND ME: the failings of the capitalist economic model.
Just when you think you've heard it all before, Moore freshly unearths shocking facts about hidden and misunderstood events, here particularly targeting the sub-prime mortgage fiasco and its corporate and political propagators. Always with his wits about him, Moore makes the bad medicine go down with spoonfuls of mirth, and there's a new-found optimism here marked by the dawn of the Obama era. Hinting at retirement at the end of the film, this caps his important legacy of documentary protests, and with the tax payer ultimately bailing out private enterprise to the tune of 700 billion dollars, it seems he can finally rest his case.

5 stars (Exceptional) An exceptionally well-made history lesson in capitalism, then and now. In true Moore style it shocks and infuriates, and is probably responsible for the 'Occupy Wall Street" movement. An absolute must-see, I just hope there's more to come. ~GenXGirl
