Little Ashes
Aroview: Meandering and soapy look at three of Spain's artistic enfant terribles; Luis Bunuel, Federico Garcia Lorca and Salvador Dali.
Focussing on the three talents in the infancy of their careers dir. Morrison seems more concerned on who was sleeping with who than on their respective artistic abilities. Its a colossal feat to make this trio seem dull but Morrison somehow manages.
Pattinson desperate to shed his teen idol image flounders as Dali and looks disconcerting like Louise Brooks. Film's saving grace is some beautiful landscape photography and a spare but evocative guitar score.
