Love On A Branch Line (TV Mini-series)

Aroview: Acclaimed comedy tracks the misfortunes that befall a dull civil servant who decides to quit his job to become an artist in Paris, but his employers have other ideas and send him to the country to dismantle a long forgotten research unit located inside a stately manor.

Subtle and affecting, and masterfully played by Maloney, it doesn't tickle the funny bone so much as gently rubs it and in its own droll way can be seen as a precursor to THE OFFICE.
