Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove

Aroview: Genial revival of the FREE WILLY franchise with Bindi Irwin sent to spend her summer in South Africa with grandfather Beau Bridges and his failing amusement park. When Bindi discovers a friendly orca swimming in a lagoon grandpa sees whale exploitation as the key to turning round his failing fortunes.

Though nothing too strenuous is required from her acting wise Bindi makes for an engaging heroine while dir. Geiger throws in some knockabout cartoon humour and admirably the film stays away from heavy handedness while still managing to deliver its eco-friendly message.
