Aroview: Desert set indie-horror is a more thoughtful entry in the burgeoning 'demon child' canon with Melora Walters as a mother trying to hold the family together after the death of her husband, and cope with the arrival of a mysterious young orphan.

First time dir. Stepansky takes a steady as she goes approach with the material and gore hounds may find their patience tested, but Stepansky's approach has its own rewards and those who like their horrors slow to the boil should enjoy this one.
