Last American Hero, The

Aroview: Jeff Bridges' mix of redneck roughness and choirboy sweetness is just right for this 1973 true story of a country kid running moonshine and making good on the race track. Based on Tom Wolfe's articles about the famous stock car racer, Junior Johnson, this is such an enjoyably old school film, it goes to show just how hollow the Hollywood action film has become.
