Never Let Me Go
“"A powerful, melancholy and deeply moving film that does justice to a complex novel."”~Jeff Robson, Eye for Film
Aroview: Faithful adaptation of the Kazuo Ishiguro's 'unfilmable' novel that follows the relationship of three childhood friends who are raised as 'donors' in a parallel English universe where their human counterparts live to be over 100.
Notable for another excellent performance from Cary Mulligan (AN EDUCATION), this is certainly more sensitive and successful than the recent adaptation of THE TIME-TRAVELER'S WIFE, but feels inevitably condensed and oversimplified, and missing a sense of cinematic urgency that would otherwise counter-balance its lugubrious yearning.

0 star (Not rated) I loved this movie-it has a profound sense of loss throughout. Will watch again. ~Anon
3 stars (Good Enough) Intelligent with an appropriate musical score. Carey Mulligan has the gift of not needing to speak to portray a message. ~Tubbs
