Aroview: Dir. Werner Herzog and David Lynch as producer team up for this bizarre tale of an actor driven to murder his mother in sunny, suburban San Diego after a series of hallucinations.

A companion piece to Herzog's BAD LIEUTENANT reworking, this has similar blackly comic affectations, with Lynch's stylistic influences (dialogue, casting) also in evidence. Though based on a true story, it lacks the depth of Herzog's non-fictions, and was somewhat orphaned as a project upon completion. One for completists.
