Trip, The
“A wickedly funny joy ride that offers keen, unflatteringly honest insights on fame, midlife crises and the rivalrous nature of male friendship.”~Colin Covert, Minneapolis Star Tribune
Aroview: Comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon embark on a jovial restaurant tour of the North of England in this hilarious culinary road trip movie derived from the TV series of the same name.
Loosely structured and largely improvised, the format indulges its performers to "be themselves" with the hedonistic Coogan and the avuncular Brydon contrasting ethics and clashing wits, all the while consuming some resplendent English cuisine and countryside. What emerges is a surprisingly frank portrait of show-biz rivalry and genuine friendship, that for the viewer feels like being on tour with jolly good company.
