Iron Lady, The
Aroview: Meryl Streep's Oscar-winning incarnation dominates this stylized biography of Margaret Thatcher, the conservative British Prime Minister who was dubbed the "Iron Lady" for her hardline political style and ideology in the 1980's.
While its choppy presentation lacks the sophistication of say, THE QUEEN (2006), and some bemoaned the shallowness of the politics which arguably portray her far too generously, this does better in asserting the mold-breaking tenacity of a woman in an exclusively male domain, and cannot be denied what is a miraculous central performance.
