Matter of Taste, A
Aroview: Dubbed a "gastronomic thriller”, this involving culinary doco by expat Kiwi dir. Sally Rowe chronicles the challenges faced by English wunderkind Paul Liebrandt, who became the youngest chef ever to receive a three-star review from the New York Times.
More unexpected is Liebrandt's financial difficulties and the high ambition and expectation associated with his new restaurant, which the film keeps tabs on in the form of a slow-burn drama, building climatically towards the venture's grand opening.
