Goon
Aroview: Sports thuggery as comedy, this shaggy (under)dog story of an inarticulate bouncer who finds his calling as a violent enforcer on a struggling minor league ice hockey team plays squarely to genre, though is both perfectly cast and solidly written (by SUPERBAD scribe Evan Goldberg).

1 star (Turkey) Can't work out a reason for making this film unless it was to promote the sport. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) Didn't expect to like this, but I did. As Aroview says, perfectly cast, and while your mind is boggling at the carnage, there's a sweetly daffy romance and Schreiber's Canadian accent to enjoy. ~HiFi
