4 stars (Very Good) One of this year's massive blockbusters doesn't disappoint in terms of CGI and spectacle, but with so many Marvel characters drawn together at once I have to say that I still find each of the origin stories more compelling. ~Tom H

4 stars (Very Good) The multi-superhero epic that should have been made sooner. Unimaginative 'origin movie' plot aside, everything is executed perfectly by Whedon & co. A good cast support snappy dialogue and some excellent action correography. ~SteveParkes
3 stars (Good Enough) Initially found it tedious and long-winded but I warmed up to it. Is it just me, or does this seem, well, anonymous? The post-credits scene of our heroes dining out was the most Whedonesque thing about it... ~HiFi
