Anton Chekhov's The Duel
Aroview: Quietly absorbing and witty adaptation of a Chekhov novella with a young aristocrat's fickle relationship with a married woman leading to potential tragedy and the famed Chekhov epiphany.
Dramatically low-key, but engaging all round, with appealing (though unknown) young leads and painterly visuals - a beautiful Croatian seaside location here standing in for coastal Caucasus, and rendered in elegant green-blue hues.
