Aroview: Early Bergman turns his lens on a pair of working class, teenage lovers. At first this rebellious holiday boat ride comes across as dreamy escapism (in an pseudo-Italian style). Though reality and disillusionment soon prevail as the food and fuel run low out and the wind begins to change. Companion piece to SUMMER INTERLUDE.
