Treeless Mountain
Aroview: Korean-American So Yong Kim directs this moderate, heartfelt drama of two sisters, aged 3 and 6 respectively, who are abandoned by their mother and must come to terms with a transient life between various caregivers and relatives.
Although reminiscent of the devastating NOBODY KNOWS, this quietly curates its own form of naturalism and intimacy together with its remarkable child performers, who convey a subtle range of emotions throughout their sad, but ultimately hopeful ordeal.
