“a suspenseful psychological drama for viewers prepared to tolerate its extremes.”~Justin Lowe, Variety
Aroview: When a prank caller masquerading as a police officer convinces a fast food restaurant manager to interrogate an innocent young employee, no-one is left unharmed.
This tense chamber-thriller might not be entirely psychologically water-tight, but the subtext of authoritarian control is strong enough to carry it over any dips in credulity. The acting too, is top-notch, especially that of Ann Dowd, whose normalcy as a responsible middle-manager makes the controversial events relatable to a wider audience outside the arthouse. Based on true events.

4 stars (Very Good) Hardly much fun but excellent acting means the queasy tension hooks us properly. The fact that the story's unbelievable is why the film deserves to exist: it's based on not one but, chillingly, several documented true cases. ~fairbrother
5 stars (Exceptional) It doesn't lack credibility; it's what actually happened! McDonald's had to pay the victim $1.1 million in damages after the incident in this film. ~Creek
2 stars (Good Try) Lacks credibility but the acting by the two female leads is good. ~Tubbs
