Aroview: Gael Garcia Bernal plays an ad executive who conceives a campaign to defeat Augusto Pinochet in Chile's 1988 referendum in this unique celebration of democracy at work.
Shot on 1980's-style U-matic videotape stock, the low-rent aesthetic looks and feels authentic and appropriate, and the film's treatment has a levity that reflects and compliments the ironic spirit of a campaign against a notorious dictator. Required viewing for students of either media or politics, while for others it's an utterly fascinating and unique piece of political history turned into an accessible entertainment.

4 stars (Very Good) As the right wing violence is already well documented the film rightly does not overdo this aspect. It cleverly concentrates on the hypocritical advertising industry. A reasonable effort at giving a balanced account considering everything that happened. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) By concentrating on a relatively small aspect of the Chilean Yes/No campaign, this movie manages to create great characters dynamics while condensing the events of the election in an engaging way. ~Sevenhead
