A heart-on-its-sleeve melodrama that believes it's more artful than it really is, Audiard's film nonetheless sucks us in with its committed performances, bare-faced characters, and gutsy depiction of an unfashionable disability (replete with remarkable use of CG effects).

I find this review offensive! I don’t agree with this review. I agree with this review.
3 stars (Good Enough) It has a disability theme but the sentimentality has a raw edge.Matthias plays a male animal & has more screen time (his fight scenes are extremely well produced) but Marion is one of those actors who doesn't need a script to steal a scene. ~Tubbs
