2 stars (Good Try) Not the normal standard expected from Paul Greengrass. Watch the realistic "Hijacking" instead. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) I wasn't expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. Straightforward, gripping and avoids heroic cliche. The freshman Somali actors playing the pirates are extraordinary. ~HiFi
4 stars (Very Good) Worth watching for the Somali actors who seem to actually be wasted waifs. Tom Hanks expends extraordinary energy to depict the factual horror. ~rakau
4 stars (Very Good) Hanks and Abdi make a great match. After an hour-plus of nail-biting suspense, the story loses a bit of steam, but it does ramp back up for a climactic reel with unexpected emotional kick. PS: "A Hijacking" maybe better (see below!). ~fairbrother
4 stars (Very Good) Surprisingly good & realistic. Even Tom Hanks is excellent. An good adventure movie portrayal close to the truth. ~Sandy
