St. Vincent
“a charming fable with colorful characters that will leave you feeling just a bit better for having seen it.”~Leonard Maltin
Aroview: Likeable coming-of-age comedy about an unlikely friendship between a young boy and a misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic war veteran who lives next door - a role fit for the talents of Bill Murray.

3 stars (Good Enough) The script's a bit hand-me-down and threadbare (think Walter Matthau's undershirt) but the playing makes up for it. Was that Murray doing a smarmy Venkman smile at the end? Hope so. ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) Verges on soppiness but doesn't quite get there. The characters are interesting & the performances are good enough not to be upstaged by a well cast Murray. McCarthy a surprise but its the kid's performance that could have ruined the film but doesn't. ~Tubbs
