Jodorowsky's Dune
“An ode to what it means to make a film with unbridled creativity, without limits and without concern for commercial calculation”~AV Club
Aroview: Billed as the greatest sci-fi movie never made, Alejandro Jodorowsky's attempt to adapt Frank Herbert's groundbreaking novel DUNE makes for a profoundly entertaining documentary subject - not least because of the artist's utterly uncompromising vision, which provides explanation both for the origin of such a wondrously catastrophic failure as well as for the sublime worth of his completed oeuvre.
Although his vision was never realised, the tendrils of influence were passed on through the director's co-conspirators who went on to help create sci-fi icons like ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER.

3 stars (Good Enough) Fascinating, although with zero cinematography to show off (since the film was never made) it's occasionally a little dry. ~Truant
5 stars (Exceptional) Loved this movie! ~Catapillar
