Grasp Of Wind, A

Feat. Neal Gunn

Aroview: Dutch born New Zealand visual artist Robert Franken's one-and-only directorial effort is a quietly surreal, wordless fable in which a fisherman provides a visual metaphor for humanity's relationship with the natural elements. The soundtrack includes music played on bamboo instruments performed by leading New Zealand composer Jack Body.

This DVD also includes "Franken", a short Super 8mm portrait of the artist made in 1974, and "Robert Franken in Conversation With Don Long", a 50-minute discussion between artist and critic, both directed by Russell Campbell.
